DAMACLE ROUNDS IRELAND 2026

                                                                                                                                                               

It’s been three years since my first attempt to sail Damacle around Ireland, which I might yet – now that I’ve achieved it, that first attempt – blog up. Deciding to go westabout, we quickly got as far as Kilrush, but a steady procession of depressions that summer prevented further progress, and at the end of that summer, Damacle, defeated, returned to Cork. Another Cork Week and some medical inconveniences for me kept her harbour-bound in 2024 and 2025, but to quote Geroge Harrison: “All Things must Pass”, “Here Comes the Sun”!
