DAMACLE ROUNDS IRELAND 2026

                                                                                                                                                               

It’s been three years since my first attempt to sail Damacle around Ireland, which I might yet – now that I’ve achieved it, that first attempt – blog up. Deciding to go westabout, we quickly got as far as Kilrush, but a steady procession of depressions – deprocessions – prevented further progress, and at the end of that summer, Damacle, defeated, returned to Cork. Another Cork Week and some personal medical inconveniences kept her harbour-bound in 2024 and 2025, but to quote George Harrison: “All Things must Pass”, “Here Comes the Sun”!
